How do I create a group?
From the KayuH homepage/newsfeed, head to 'Group’ (on app, this is in the menu in bottom right). Once there, hit the '+' circle icon in the top right hand corner of the screen.
You will then be asked to choose a location for your group. If you country is not listed here, contact us at ‘kayuh.net/contact;.
NOTE: All groups are approved by KayuH moderators, so if we think there are reasons to not approve a group (e.g. duplicate group, spammy or promotional), we will contact you directly to explain why.
After you have selected your group location, you will be asked to give your group a name, and choose the group type. We have 2 types of group available to use:
Closed Group: Anyone can find the group, but all new members have to be approved by the group admin
Secret Group: Only members who are invited to the group can find it and request to join.
How do I manage my Group settings?
The group settings is the core menu that controls your group, where you can change settings such as the group’s details, photo, permissions, admins and invite members.
Desktop: On your group, click the ‘cog icon’ on the right-hand-side of the group cover photo, and select ‘Manage’.
Mobile App: On your group, tap on the ‘three-dots’ menu, either where it says ‘More’ under the cover photo or top right hand corner, and select ‘Manage’.
How long does it take for a new group to be approved?
We aim to either approve or decline new groups within 48 hours of being submitted. You will be notified by email. If we think there are reasons to not approve a group (e.g. duplicate group, spammy or promotional), we will contact you directly to explain why.
How do I invite members to a group?
Once your group has been approved, head to your group settings (see above) where you’ll see a section called ‘Invite’. Here you can either select existing followers on KayuH to invite to your group, or you can invite members by email.
We strongly reccomend signing up to become a KayuH Ambassador (kayuh.net/ambassador), as this will allow you to send out your own unique link, for people to join with. This link can be posted anywhere, and will mean that all new KayuH members who joined using your link, will always be linked to your account.
